Note: Dual
specialization is available to students who need to select 3 courses from
one Area (major specialization) and 1 course from another Area (minor
specialization).
Affiliation & Approval
The MBA programme is
affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology. It is approved by the
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt.
of India and Department of Higher Education (Technical Education) Govt. of
West Bengal.
Duration of MBA Programme
It
is 2 years full time programme. The Institute presently operates from 1.00
P.M to 7.30 P.M from Tuesday to Saturday. This unique time facilitates
ample interaction between industry stalwarts and students. The practicing
managers of leading industries in the city are generally invited for the
last two periods.
Admission Procedure
The Institute admits
students on the basis of Performance in the MAT for the year 2009 -10 (Composite
score should be at least 600), conducted by AIMA , rank in JEMAT,
conducted by The West Bengal University of Technology, as per the directive
of the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal or any other
equivalent exam, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The
minimum cut off percentile in such exam is decided by the Institute.
Examination & Promotion
At the end of each semester a comprehensive test on each of
the papers will be held. Besides these tests, there will be continuous
evaluation during the session through cycle exams and assignments. The
marks will be added to the Final Examination subject-wise.
Promotion will be decided on the basis of overall
performance in all the subjects for the second semester. A candidate
failing in one or more papers may reappear at subsequent examination as per
University rules. All the subjects are to be cleared at the Final
Examination.
Students will be awarded grades as per West Bengal
University of Technology grade system.
Attendance
The candidate shall become eligible to take the end
semester examination ONLY if he/she has, besides fulfilling other
requirements, attended 75% of the total number of lectures, tutorials and
seminars conducted during the semester in the subjects concerned unless
otherwise allowed by appropriate authorities.
Medium of Instruction
The medium of instruction and examination will be English.

- Bhavan's Associate Membership Fees:
Rs. 400/-year payable at the time of Admission.
- Alumni Life Membership fees of Rs. 5000/- payable at
the beginning of the 4th Semester.
